Bug Detectors
Bug detectors can be used to tell if someone is listening in on your conversations or watching you with a hidden camera. Bug detectors are small, electronic RF I (radio frequency) scanners which work by detecting whether or not there is an RF (radio frequency) transmitter located in a room. Some give an indication of the actual frequency, while others just indicate the strength of any frequency that they find.
You use these devices by walking around a room with the scanner in your hand. If you get close to the a transmitter the device starts generating a tone, which gets louder as you get closer to the device. The display will also indicate the presence of a signal. This allows you to pinpoint the actual device and dispose of it. For more information on bug detectors.
